(History). Political topography of Helsingfors in 1917 (the perception of the city by Russian soldiers)

The paper dwells upon the difference aspects of political life of Russian Army in Finland at the end of World War I and at the beginning of the Russian Revolution 1917. Special attention is paid to the problems of a long-term semiotic presence of the Empire in the city environment if the Finnish capital and to the peculiarities of mutual perception of each other in a new social atmosphere. The author makes a conclusion that the political coup was accompanied here by the revolution of symbols.
